We went to Santa Cruz last week and saw the boardwalk where Lost Boys was filmed. It is scarier in person, lots of people screaming as they ride the roller coaster and bloating as they eat corn dogs and cotton candy. We also happened to be there for the Cheerleading Championships of the World or something like that so it was all very American. We didn't try a deep fried Twinky with our friend Drew from Fairbanks and I don't think I'll regret that decision. It was nice to see sun and sand though and the Monterey Bay is gorgeous, we'll be back.
